CJFED: Who Pays vs. Who Uses

Data from open records request from Clermont Joint Fire & EMS District (2024)

Property Taxes Collected (2024)

Township: $3,946,471.44

Village: $293,429.12

Total: $4,239,900.56

CJFED Emergency Calls (2024)

Township: 4,287 calls

Village: 862 calls

Total: 5,149 calls

The Bottom Line:

The township contributes 93% of property tax revenue to CJFED while accounting for 83% of emergency calls. The village contributes only 7% of funding but generates 17% of calls—more than twice its proportional share. Tax abatements in the village further reduce this already insufficient contribution, putting more strain on our shared fire and EMS services.
